So it’s about time I updated the About Me section. The last one I wrote was in January 2016 and my views about the blog and what is happening in my life have changed since then.
Hi, my name is Jason Tsitsopoulos, I’m from a middle-class family from Melbourne, Australia. I’ve been fortunate enough to live, travel, study and work as an English teacher in many different areas of the world. I want to get out of teaching and into the world of motivational speaking which is the reason of why I started this blog.
I figured that if I start the blog I can start to work through certain topics and themes I wanted to talk about. That way, when I start giving speeches I’ll have something to base my talk on. The idea was and still is, to write enough so that a gatekeeper who holds the keys to a different career path can find me through this blog and want to hire me or suggest a job that I would be good at. That gatekeeper can be you.
The only way to do this is to create content and a lot of it. I’ve seen first hand with my friends that with persistence to their passions they are able to not only make a career out of it but to be extremely successful in the process. The key to their success? Persistence, content and truthfulness.
Transparency is a key feature in my blog. I want to be as transparent as possible. I feel that being transparent and putting all the cards on the table makes me vulnerable and relatable. And through that, I can have a deeper connection with my audience.
Having started almost a year and a half ago, I have seen this blog start to take shape. My voice/writing style has improved and there have been some interesting discussions on Facebook. I’d like to foster those discussions and feedback by making the functionality of the website better and spreading my message through different forums and social media platforms.
I am about to embark on a 6-month tour of South East Asia (or if you’re reading this in the future I’m already in Asia) where my primary focus will be this blog, meeting people and setting up my future career. In the old About Me section, I talked about going on a cruise ship and Canada. These fell through because of changing circumstances and I felt that I couldn’t fully commit to changing my career in Canada.
So, keep up the discussions, I am loving the feedback. If you like it make sure you share it with your friends. And if you want to get in contact with me you can send an email to
